So, a couple of things you should know about the Penguin as he appears in the upcoming Batman: Arkham City.

First of all, he kind of looks like Jim Sterling. Let’s not beat around the bush here. While Sterling didn’t invent the monocle, clearly the folks at Rocksteady have seen our own villain and decided to borrow liberally for its own. Fine, as long as Jim’s getting a check, we’re cool.

Secondly, the Penguin talks a bit like Nolan North. That’s because he is Nolan North. Well, voiced by him, at least. The ubiquitous voice actor, best known for his role as Uncharted‘s Nathan Drake, has spit out his best cockney accent for the role. To be fair, the capable North sounds nothing like Drake or even himself when spitting Penguin lines, so kudos to him for being good at his job.

Batman: Arkham City is out October 18.
