Listen up anyone who played the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games. You are all jerks. They are solid games, but you made the game popular and now we have to once again type out all those periods every time we want to talk about its officially confirmed sequel, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, which was officially confirmed to be in development for multiple platforms by developer GSC Game World.
We clearly have no idea what this game will involve, though a wasteland is most likely to pop up here or there. Also a mystery is why the game is called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 when I thought that S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat was considered the official sequel to the original game. Plus, with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky being a prequel isn’t this technically the fourth game in the series? And what about the console releases of the older games?
Sergiy Grygorovych, CEO of GSC Game World, did have these incredibly generic words to say about the upcoming game: “After the official sales of the series exceeded 4 million copies worldwide, we had no doubts left to start creating a new big game in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe. This will be the next chapter of the mega-popular game players expect from us.”
