Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is coming to the DS in about 10 days. Nintendo plans to celebrate its release with an event at the Nintendo World store in New York’s Rockefeller Plaza, which will be based around the social multiplayer aspect of Square Enix’s latest.
If you haven’t heard, the game will let four players connect via local wireless to explore dungeons and take on bosses together. It’s like a pint-sized MMO. There will be game kiosks there for party attendees to roll up to and give the multiplayer a try.
Better than all of that is the guest list, which includes Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii. He’s going to sign only 30 autographs, so you had better get there early. Even if you do mss out on that, there will be a freakin’ Dragon Quest ice cream truck on the premises.
This all goes down on Saturday, July 10th, from 1-4 p.m. at the Nintendo World store. Maybe see you there?
