One of the best things about creating things using in-game editors is the ability to share what you’ve created with the world. One of the biggest selling points of 3D Dot Game Heroes is the character creator. So, it stands to reason that there should be a way for you to show off your characters. Coinciding with today’s launch of the game, Atlus has made such a way available.
“The Hall of Heroes” is a website where you can upload your designs and download those created by others. It’s a bit clunky, requiring you to copy your save data to a thumb drive (or, presumably, another portable media format compatible with the PS3) and upload from your computer and vice versa. Still, it’s better than no solution at all, which we very well could have received.
Additionally, Atlus is holding a contest to see who can create the best heroes. Prizes consist of Amazon.com game codes which can be used to buy items from the online retailer’s videogame department. Neat!
I need to go to bed so that I can wake up bright and early and wrestle with myself over whether or not to rush right out the door to buy this. I expect it will be a short fight.
