PETA has launched a game parody of the uber-popular Super Meat Boy named Super Tofu Boy. In the game, Bandage Girl leaves Meat Boy for the bland and tasteless (my words) Tofu Boy. Angry and rotting, Meat Boy kidnaps Bandage Girl and Tofu Boy must dash off to her rescue. The game is for PC and resembles the original Meat Boy flash prototype much more than the polished game being played around the world today on PC and Xbox 360.

Is Team Meat outraged? Hell no. In a post to their blog, Edmund McMillen expressed appreciation for the parody, saying, “Peta [sic] is 1000 times more well known then Super Meat Boy and the fact that they went out of their way to make a parody like this is beyond flattering and amazingly helpful.”

He went on to criticize the organization for its hardline stance against all animal testing as well as the tactics they employ in their campaigns. He also told the best joke I’ve heard all week:

How many Peta members does it take to change a lightbulb?….

None, Peta can’t change anything.

And thank God for that.
