Darkspore beta now open for registration

Darkspore, the online multiplayer mash-up of Spore with Diablo, is soon to be entering into beta and EA is looking for folks to test it out. In a newsletter, EA announced that beta registration is now open. Going to the sign-up page asks for your usual e-mail address and date of birth, saying that further details will be forthcoming at a later date.

I had a chance to check out the game when it was announced earlier this year and I came away intrigued. It was satisfying from a “click-to-win” perspective and the team formation aspects appealed, but I’m still on the fence about it. I really just need more time to make a decision, so I’m really hoping I get accepted to the beta.

Anybody else going to sign up for this?
