Namco Bandai has announced that Splatterhouse, a reboot of the 1988 arcade classic, has now gone gold. It’s out on November 23 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.Â
It’s also extremely bloody, and the voice inside the head of the game’s main character yells things like “F**k that guy” as you soak the floors in the blood of monsters. I know this because Namco Bandai sent some preview code in my direction, and in between the 12 other games I’ve had to play for review, I popped it in today. More on that tomorrow, but in the meantime, feast your eyes on these new screens and gameplay footage.Â
Also revealed is that the original game will be launching for iPhone, Windows Mobile, and various other mobile devices next month. So if you’re not interested in ponying up $60 for this new fangled current-gen remake, there’s your other option. But take note — the original is also an unlockable found on the disc of the new game.Â
