Salt is one of the most common cooking ingredients you’ll use in life. Disney Dreamlight Valley is fully aware of this, and in its Storybook Vale expansion, it introduces salt crystals. However, you’ll have to rely on fishing for it here rather than mining or buying it from a shop.
Where to find Salt Crystal in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Getting Salt crystal requires venturing into The Storybook Vale’s Everafter biome and fishing in any body of water. Cast your line into any part of the water outside of colored fishing circles for a chance to get some salt.
Since you can get salt crystals anywhere in Everafter, you can start fishing for them as soon as you open The Wild Woods. If you’re in other areas like Teapot Falls or The Fallen Fortress, you’re free to stop here and grab some before moving on to your next objective.
Make sure you don’t target any bubbling fishing circles, though. These will always net fish or a Sea Monster Tooth rather than salt.
There’s also a chance you’ll get fish like Cod instead, even if you cast your line outside these circles. Don’t worry if this happens: keep trying, and you’ll get there after a few attempts.
