Genshin Impact 5.2 maintenance time and how to pre-install

Genshin Impact 5.2 will introduce a brand new update, which will go live in less than 48 hours.

The new update will have plenty of tweaks to the existing gameplay, along with the introduction of new characters and their banners. There are also going to be new events that will allow you to gain different in-game rewards. Ahead of the upcoming update, the developers have announced essential details related to the upcoming maintenance that will be part of the update procedure.

The upcoming update will have maintenance on November 20. Based on the available schedule, the maintenance will commence at 6 a.m. (UTC +8). Unless there are any unforeseen delays during the maintenance, it should last for about 5 hours. This is pretty much the standard routine that’s followed for every update.

While the maintenance is live, you won’t be able to log into the game. This is applicable on all platforms – mobile, PC, and PlayStation. Once the update is over, you’ll be able to enjoy all the new content, given you have already downloaded the updated client. You can already pre-download the required files so that you can jump right back in once the update is over on November 20.

How to pre-install Genshin Impact 5.2 update?

The process of pre-installing the required files will vary based on the platform of your choice.

• On your mobile, open the game (but don’t load it into your account). Check the bottom left of your screen, and the updated files should be available for download.
• If you’re on PC, open up your HoYoPlay client and choose Genshin Impact. The option to pre-install will be available exactly to the left of the “Start Game” button.
• If you’re on a PlayStation, you won’t need to do anything. Just turn on your PlayStation and make sure it’s connected to a network. The update files will be downloaded and installed automatically, preparing you for November 20.

Once the maintenance is over and you can access the download, you’ll be able to get 300 Primogems as compensation as long as you’re Adventure Rank 5 or above.
