Every patch for Final Fantasy XIV brings a lot of new items to collect and use, and patch 7.1 is absolutely no exception. Along with new gear, minions, and mounts, there are also a lot of new furnishing items up for grabs.
The furnishing design team seems to have decided that we need more modern furniture pieces, and I, for one, am not complaining, but this doesn’t mean there isn’t a selection of traditional pieces within the additions.
If you’ve just decided to change the interior design of your house, then you’re looking at redecorating anyway, as all of your furniture is now in storage. So why not take this opportunity to get an idea for new items and maybe make a change?
FFXIV 7.1 Interior furnishings
There is a long list of 33 different new indoor furnishing items to get through, including a few items from a recent Furniture Design Contest that have been made real in-game.

FFXIV 7.1 exterior furnishings
While the inside of your newly designed house has a lot of new options in terms of newly added furniture, the outside doesn’t get quite as many new additions in patch 7.1. Only three new items have been added.
On the plus side, one of them is big enough to almost completely fill a small plot, so it’s not so bad.
