Here’s a thing that’s now on my radar, thanks to Twitter — Haymaker Games‘ Ghost Chef.
Scheduled as an Xbox LIVE Arcade release, the game puts spectres in the kitchen, in what the indie developer calls a “revolution in interactive spectral cooking.” Ghost Chef will feature solo, cooperative, and campaign modes, with players using their spirits to stir, cook, and otherwise tend kitchen. That will involve fighting off a giant squid, and avoiding the hazards of slipping on syrup. Because these are the things ghost chefs worry about, of course.
The game currently has no publisher, apparently being entirely funded out-of-pocket by Haymaker at this point. But considering the public outcry for more ghost cooking games (and the fact that this trailer has sold me on the concept when I know very little about the actual game) bodes well for its future. Anyone out there want to throw some money at ’em?
