Divided into three Acts, the campaign has plenty of quests for the players to explore as they gradually reach the late game. Additionally, some exciting side quests can further enhance your enjoyment. Interestingly, there’s something called the Point of No Return (pretty much a staple of Dragon Age games). Having an idea about this specific quest will be extremely important, especially if you’re trying to complete as many missions as possible.

But before we get to that point, let’s take a look at the complete list of quests that are part of the main storyline.

All acts and missions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

As mentioned earlier, there are three acts, and all of them don’t have the same length. Naturally, one Act will take longer to complete than another. The chapters are also different, and some will be harder to clear. Do note that the following list is just part of the main storyline.

Act I: Signs and Portents

  • The End of the Beginning
  • Shadows of Ancient Arlathan
  • In Entropy’s Grasp
  • Shadows Crossing
  • The Singing Blade
  • The Enemy of My Enemy
  • Into the Crossroads
  • The Smuggled Relic Case
  • Sea of Blood
  • Friends in High Places
  • Shadows of Minrathous
  • In Peace, Vigilance
  • A Warden’s Best Friend
  • On Deadly Wings
  • On Blighted Wings
  • Completing The Veilguard
  • Winding Ways
  • The Dragon Slayer
  • Where the Dead Must Go
  • Shades of the Blight
  • Something Wrong
  • A Change on the Wind
  • The Siege of Weisshaupt

Act II: The Price of the Past

  • After The Storm
  • Bloodbath
  • The Cobbled Swan Case
  • The Cauldron
  • A Fighting Chance
  • Fire and Ice
  • Unwanted Guests
  • Grim Bonds
  • Blood of Arlathan
  • Words of the Wolf
  • Legacies and Legends
  • For the Love of Treviso
  • To Act as One
  • When Plans Align
  • The Shadowed Sun
  • Isle of the Gods
  • A Cage for Gods

Act III: The Wrath of the Ages

  • The Dragon and The Dread Wolf
  • The Last Gambit
  • One Last Breath
  • The Dread Wolf Rises

As I said, these quests are separate from the quests of your companions. In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, every companion has a story arc. Completing these arcs will take time, and that will vary based on your efforts. That said, completing these quests will eventually matter when you return to completing the quests on the main storyline.

Where is the Point of No Return in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

The Point of No Return in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the quest called When Plans Align. It’s part of Act 2, so there will be plenty of quests to clear till you can reach that point. That’s also beneficial, as you’ll want to complete all other quests before clearing this stage.

This includes the side quests and all your available Companion quests. Apart from the side quests, you can also perform plenty of Faction quests. These quests are essential to raise your strength and make your companions far more powerful.

In certain games, completing additional content won’t feel that important (unless you want to get unique rewards/become a completionist). In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, powering yourself and your companions up by completing the side quests/Faction quests is essential to have a smooth experience. In the late game quests, it becomes crucial to have your companions gain Hero of the Veilguard status if you want them to survive.

Additionally, the endgame has plenty of critical decision-making associated with almost every quest. You can also unlock multiple endings in the end, which provides you the scope to enjoy multiple playthroughs.
