How to find the plushie in Chapter 1 of Life is Strange: Double Exposure

Bowling pins for ears is definitely a choice

There are a lot of hidden items and scenes throughout Life is Strange: Double Exposure, and some of them are easy to miss if you’re excited about being reunited with Max and going on a new adventure.

One of these hidden items can be found early on in Chapter 1, as soon as you set foot in the Bowling Alley with Safi. If you’re anything like me, you’ll look through your choices at the end of Chapter 1 and ask yourself “Was there a plushie in the Bowling Alley?” because you completely missed it the first time.

If you’ve already played through Chapter 1 and don’t want to play through it again, you can get back to the Bowling Alley by choosing “Chapter Select” from the main menu, then clicking on “Still Life”, then “Out of the Gutter”.

As soon as you’ve made your way past the shelves that prevent access to the Bowling Alley, you’re free to go and find the plushie, but you should play through the scene as it progresses naturally if this is your first time diving in.

To find the plushie, head all the way to the left by crossing over the broken bowling lanes. When you can’t go any further that way, turn left again until you find yourself near the shoe swap shelves. Turn around, and you’ll see this questionable mascot statue:

Interacting with this statue will spark a cutscene where Max describes the statue as a cute “off-brand M&M”, while Safi uses the blunt yet not entirely false description of “Mr. Peanut on meth”. Regardless of your feelings toward the mascot’s design, let this cutscene play out and then look down just a little.

Below the statue, you’ll find a bunch of mascot plushies. They’re as horrifyingly strange as the large version, but much more transportable. Select the “Take” option and Max will pick one up and put it in her camera bag, before continuing on with the scene and progressing the chapter.
