The only location where you can catch Nessie in Fisch is the Frightful Pool. It spawns after midnight, and it works just like any other abundance area. The best weather to fish for Nessie is Foggy, which you can force by using a Smokescreen Totem.

If you don’t have a Fish Radar to see the exact size of the Frightful Pool zone, stay as close to the light beam in the middle as possible to avoid fishing outside of it. Also, if the night has already started on your server, but there is no Frightful Pool, leave the experience and join one of the available servers manually. Repeat this until you find a server with the Frightful Pool spawned.

Best Rods to Use for Catching Nessie

Because Nessie is the biggest fish in Fisch, weighing over 2,000kg, the only two rods that are viable for catching her are the Steady Rod and the King’s Rod. Of course, you can try and get the Unbreakable enchant (+10,000kg) on a rod, but because she applies a -80% progress speed debuff, if you don’t have enough resistance, you’ll 100% fail the fishing minigame.

Nessie’s preferred bait is the Truffle Worm, which is the rarest bait in the game. Chances are that you don’t have it in bulk, so use anything that you do have that provides a boost to Universal Luck, Resilliance, or Lure Speed. Good choices are Bagels, Maggots, Squid, Seaweed, Weird Algae, and Night Shrimp.

How to Get Truffle Worm in Fisch

The only reliable source of Truffle Worm, Nessie’s favored bait, in Fisch, is Volcanic Geodes. These geodes can only be caught using a Magma Rod in the Roslit Volcano. To increase your chances of catching them, use the Magnet bait.
