How to make a deal with Mephisto in Fortnite: Fortnitemares 2024 guide

A famous demon, Mephisto, has entered Fortnite’s world during Fortnitemares 2024. While Mephisto initially stepped foot in the mortal realm at the beginning of this seasonal event, he makes frequent occurrences during its weekly quests. If you want some cosmetics, you’ll have to get on this demon’s good side.

Mephisto location during Fortnitemares 2024

Mephisto lives in a castle in The Underworld, a region in the northwest corner of Fortnite’s map. You’ll spot him inside a large building, sitting on a throne befitting his demeanor. Having his weekly or Fortnitemares quests active will show his exact location on your map.

Although this makes him look like a boss character, he won’t become hostile when you enter the castle. Instead, he’ll share information about other NPCs if you ask before striking a special deal. However, other players frequently run around this spot to complete their quests or loot The Underworld for its resources. Watch your surroundings in case someone tries to get a quick elimination while you’re speaking to Mephisto.

How to make a deal with Mephisto in Fortnite

Much like other passive NPCs in Fortnite, Mephisto allows you to obtain weapons during your matches. However, instead of buying equipment, you make a deal with him: gain a random weapon in exchange for 20 health points.

By offering Mephisto 20 health, he’ll give you a random weapon for that match. If you’re lucky, you might receive a legendary or Mythic items for the rest of the game. Otherwise, there’s a possibility you’ll only get a common or uncommon gear, making it a risky gamble.

Alternatively, if you’re playing with a squad, you can exchange 99 health to revive your team. By depleting your health, Mephisto will bring back anyone in your squad who was previously eliminated during your match. However, this is a one-time use feature for each game, making it a last resort if you’re the last one standing.

Doing either of these deals also completes a quest in the third set of Fortnitemares missions, asking you to make a deal with Mephisto. You’ll also encounter a similar mission during Fortnite’s Chapter 5, Season 4 weekly missions, which tell you to purchase services from him. These all return to Mephisto’s Gift and Bargain, making them important features outside combat.
