Where to find Guns in DayZ Frontline: Sakhal

One of the foremost necessary things to do on Sakhal in DayZ Frontline is to find the guns, or more specifically, the PvP weapons.

The new expansion is now live worldwide, and the core concepts are still the same. You have to do everything to survive, and having a gun will make that a lot easier. It is not that melee weapons are bad, but a gun will help you simply avoid the risks in certain situations. As usual, it’s relatively easy to find a good weapon once you know where to look.

DayZ Frontline: Best spots to find guns

So, you’ve spawned on the island, and now you want to find weapons (I mean, guns are your ideal target, but anything that can do damage works when you’re just getting started). On the standard map, Police Stations are always reliable spots to hit to get guns/higher-level weapons.

In Sakhal, weapons can be found in houses. I am not sure what kind of people used to live on the island, for you can even reportedly find guns in some of them. However, this is purely random, so make sure to check out the houses carefully without missing any spots. There are police stations, but they appear to be much more sporadic.

The best spot to consistently get guns, and even armor, are military barracks. To find them, you’ll have to approach the mountains, and they’re located rather sporadically. But once you find them, the compounds will have several buildings for you to look into. Make sure to check out the rooms situated right outside the compounds. I have seen streamers get Military suitcases in them (but my poor luck has got me absolutely nothing).

If you want to maximize your chances of getting guns in Sakhal, you’ll need to travel to the southwestern part of the map, which has the largest militarized zone. But you should only approach this location after you’ve geared up. There are plenty of wolves roaming around this place, and they can quickly end you if you’re not careful enough.
