How to fuse in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero: All fusions and how to perform them

Are you team Vegito or Gogeta?

In true Budokai Tenkaichi (or Sparking) fashion, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero allows players to make use of both the fusion dance and the Potara Earrings to fuse midbattle, which can in many cases completely turn its tide.

True to that, it’s a given that fusing won’t be as simple as transforming, right? Here’s how to fuse in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, as well as what you need to perform every single fusion in the game.

How to Fuse in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

If on a team featuring its two involved characters —such as Goku (Z – End) and Vegeta (Z – End) for Super Gogeta (Z)— you can perform a fusion in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero by holding up on your d-pad (on Standard) or holding your left analog stick upward (on Classic). But be aware, that you can only do so once the transformation/fusion icon appears.

While pressing any of the inputs above, you will be presented with your character’s transformation wheel (if available), so use either R1/RB or L1/LB to circle to fusions and then select the one you wish to perform by pressing its designated button.

As shown in the image above, the skill bar cost of each fusion will be dictated by their power. In Goku and Vegeta’s case specifically, the versions used for the fusion will also dictate your Vegito’s highest transformation level and which Gogeta version will be available to you. For example, a Vegito fused by their Super versions will only be able to transform into Super Saiyan Blue, while a Vegito made by fusing their End forms will only be able to go up to Super Vegito even after taking the field.

For the delight of all fans, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero allows players to perform all of the fusions shown in both the original manga and the Super manga/anime, with the exception of the ones present in Daima and Super: Hero. You will also have access to most forms shown in both the franchises’ non-canon movies and adaptations (Yeah, we are talking about you GT).
