The best Dera Incarnon build in Warframe

Incarnons are some of Warframe’s most powerful weapons, and thanks to the latest big update to the game, a slew of new Incarnons have been added. The Dera’s Incarnon form is worth looking at because what was once a solid assault rifle can now shoot powerful lasers with its alternate fire.

The Koumei & the Five Fates update to Warframe has added much more to the game than just weapons, though, like a new Warframe, a massive overhaul to Caliban, big changes to companions, and lots of QOL. But if you’re looking for a new primary to try out, keep on reading.

How to build the Dera Incarnon in Warframe

This Dera Incarnon build focuses on dishing out damage via Galvanized Aptitude and a high fire rate, while its alternate fire can destroy even the toughest enemies in just a few shots thanks to its crit potential. Plus, you won’t need a Riven or Bane mods to make the most of the Dera.

We’d recommend pairing the Dera Incarnon with a weapons platform Warframe. A Gauss build with Energized Munitions would be perfect for pushing your fire rate even higher while making sure you don’t run out of ammo as you’re mowing enemies down, but just about any Warframe will work.

Best Dera Incarnon evolutions

We’d recommend focusing on fire rate and projectile speed for your first two perks because the Dera’s magazine size is already generous, and you won’t have to worry much about ammo with the Primed Rifle Ammo Mutation mod. The third perk here maximizes the power of the Dera’s laser.

Evolution II: Paragon Essence (fire rate)

Evolution III: Extended Volley (projectile speed)

Evolution IV: Deathtrap Trigger (critical chance and damage)

If you’d prefer different first and second perks, however, that won’t make a huge difference to this build. Although, if you change the third perk, you will be sacrificing damage from the alternate fire the Incarnon version of the Dera adds, so we wouldn’t recommend that.

Best mods for Dera Incarnon

Like most assault rifles, the idea here is to scale your damage off Condition Overload by inflicting status effects, particularly viral and heat. Then, when it comes to your alternate fire, increasing critical chance and critical damage will let your laser take down just about any enemy.

The Dera can inflict slash, puncture, and impact damage on its own, and we’re adding viral and heat. Its alternate fire mode also adds magnetic, totaling up to six status effects you can inflict on an enemy and use to scale your damage with Galvanized Aptitude.

Not only will your alternate fire scale off Galvanized Aptitude, but it’ll have guaranteed crits and a big multiplier, so you can swap over to your laser whenever a particular beefy enemy appears. Remember that your laser is much more limited in ammo than the Dera’s normal form will be, though.
