How to complete Qualification of being a Guild Owner in Throne and Liberty

Let's find the Guild Owner's Seal.

The Qualification of being a Guild Owner quest in Throne and Liberty is surprisingly challenging even for experienced players, especially once you start looking for the Guild Owner’s Seal at Queen’s Trap. Fortunately, context clues and piton skills will quickly get you through this mission without too many issues.

Throne and Liberty Qualification of being a Guild Owner quest guide

There are five parts to completing the Qualification of being a Guild Owner quest in Throne and Liberty:

  1. Find the Ornate Chest at the center of Sandworm Lair.
  2. Talk to the Overzealous Merchant at Western Gathering Campsite.
  3. Find the third Drawing at Sandworm Lair Hatchery.
  4. Find the fourth Drawing at Sandworm Lair Eastern Highlands.
  5. Acquire the Guild Owner’s Seal at Queen’s Trap.

Find the Ornate Chest in Sandworm Lair

The first task of this quest is to find the Ornate Chest in the center of Sandworm Lair. You’ll find it on a ledge within the blue quest circle. If you’re running north from the Sandworm Lair waypoint, you’ll spot the chest directly on your right, which you can access by approaching its ledge and using your Piton.

Talk to the Overzealous Merchant

For now, your character will decide that you should wait to find a key before trying to open the Ornate Chest. Following some brief dialogue, head back to the Sandworm Lair waypoint and travel west along the path until you approach the Western Gathering Camp.

After showing the Overzealous Merchant the box, they’ll explain its origins before opening it. You’ll start piecing together a map but only have half of it available to observe. With most of the desert looking like the top half of this map, you’ll need to search for the other two to complete the picture.

Find the third Drawing at Sandworm Lair Hatchery

Starting at the Waypoint again, go directly north through the lair until you reach the Ornate Chest’s location from earlier in this quest. However, rather than going up the ledge, head down the ramp in the cavern’s center and turn left to enter the lair’s belly. Be careful; there’s a lot of hostile enemies down here.

Once you head into the underground area of the lair, turn left until you find a small pond with another Ornate Chest sitting on a ledge. You won’t be able to jump up here normally, so use the nearby piton spot to get some high ground and glide onto the rock formation.

Find the fourth Drawing at Sandworm Lair Eastern Highlands

The final map piece is back on ground level within Sandworm Lair. You can head back through the cavern, but I recommend using the Waypoint teleporter to make the upcoming mountain climbing slightly easier.

As you turn north toward the blue quest circle again, you’ll spot multiple piton spots along the lair’s walls. Take the first two to reach the mid-level walls before gliding over and jumping up two more. You’ll find another Ornate Chest to open, revealing the last map piece for this quest.

Acquire the Guild Owner’s Seal at Queen’s Trap

The Guild Owner’s Seal location is the trickiest part of this quest since no map marker indicates its exact location. Nonetheless, we can start right from the fourth drawing’s spot to get there or from the Waypoint teleporter.

Once you’re ready to go, head to the northwest corner of Sandworm Lair until you reach the ground level of Queen’s Trap. If you approach it from the southeast, you’ll spot two holes in the cave walls surrounded by yellow-green eggs and a ledge right next to them. This particular ledge has a piton spot, which you’ll use to access the Guild Owner’s Seal.

After climbing up this ledge and opening the last Ornate Chest, you’ll pick up the Guild Owner’s Seal, promoting you to make another quick trip to the Overzealous Merchant. This conversation marks the end of the Qualification of being a Guild Owner quest, rewarding you with Sollant and Quality Polished Crystal.
