Poor CondĆ©, getting pushed by his big brother. But itās pretty obvious at this point in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom that itās really just a badly behaved imposter. Why? WHY!? I have no idea. It makes very little narrative sense, but here we are.
You face off against CondĆ©ās brotherās imposter at the end of Lanayru Temple, where heās introduced as Skorchill. Heās perhaps my favorite boss in the game, and I think thatās because the other bosses are a mix of uninteresting and too much effort. Skorchill goes down easy if you know what Iām doing. Youāre going to preferably have an Ice Wizzrobe and a Fire Wizzrobe. Ice and Fire Keese can be used instead, but I donāt recommend them.
Before the battle even starts, heāll adorn his noggin with a helmet covered in three crystals. The first helmet is an azure blue. This is when youāll want to pull out your Fire Wizzrobe. The goal is to hit the top of Skorchillās helmet with fire attacks three times. The Fire Wizzrobe is able to do this without much supervision, youāll just need to summon it again if it gets taken down.
Once the three crystals have shattered, Skorchill is open to attack. Switch to swordsman mode and start hacking. However, be aware that Skorchill will remain mobile and will attack you at this time. Best case scenario, it will be distracted by the Wizzrobe, but if not, be prepared to either dodge or take a few hits.
After enough damage is done, Skorchill will put on a different helmet. This one has orange crystals. You might be able to surmise this, but now is when you switch to your Ice Wizzrobe. From here, the fight is largely the same, but youāll be dodging more flame attacks from the giant yeti. Let Wizzrobe do its thing and shatter the crystals, and itās time to switch back to swordsman mode for another flurry of attacks.
Finally, Skorchill will put on a helmet with a mix of both colors. At this point, itās probably obvious, but youāll just need to change which Wizzrobe you have fielded to counter whatever color is on the helmet. The crystals will break the same way, and once theyāre broken, you can again start attacking.
The attacks you will be dodging are rather straightforward. He will drop icicles from the ceiling which you need to watch out for. For his fire phase, heāll shoot fireballs; some will stay burning on the ground, and others will summon tornadoes. Really, as long as you keep an eye on your footing and use the appropriate Wizzrobes, the fight can be over very quickly. In that case, you wonāt need much health, even if your situation awareness could be better.
