There are two outfits that can be gained through progressing the main story. The first, the Disguise, is provided before you’ve left the castle and prevents you from being recognized. You’ve just escaped prison, after all.

The second outfit, Royal Travel Attire, can be obtained only after completing the Hyrule Castle Dungeon. It will will be automatically provided once you speak to the King after waking up in Zelda’s bedroom.

Neither of these outfits provides any specific buff, aside from the lack of recognition given by the Disguise.
