Once you’ve found an accessory, it won’t be equipped immediately. To equip it, open up the main menu by pressing the Plus button, then navigate to the Equipment tab. Here, all of your currently available accessories will be shown, and you’ll be able to see what each accessory does.

To begin with, you can only equip one accessory, so choose wisely. It’s possible to unlock up to four additional accessory slots by visiting the Great Fairy and giving her your Rupees.
