How to level up your Prism in Remnant 2

Prismatic stats up for grabs.

Prisms are Remnant 2’s new extended progression system added in the final DLC, The Final Horizon. Leveling it up properly can be quite a time-consuming chore, but there is a method you can use to do so at a more reasonable pace than normal.

Best way to Level your Prism in Remnant 2

After reaching the maximum level in both of your classes, the only thing left to upgrade is your Prism. Similar to your classes, Prisms gain a portion of your total experience, and once enough has been earned, you’ll receive an in-game notification to level it up. At this point, youā€™ll be able to choose from three randomly selected stats to enhance your Prism. These stat boosts are permanent and directly apply to your character. Since Prisms can level up indefinitely, theyā€™ll eventually become your primary source of additional stats, surpassing the benefits of your standard build over time.

Now, leveling Prisms early on is a rather quick endeavor, but as you progress, they take more and more experience to increase. In normal Remnant 2, there are rarely more than a few enemies on screen at a time. Killing enemies in the normal game mode will eventually take too long to be worth your time. Enter the new Boss Rush mode.

Boss Rush functions much like a roguelike, where you’re dropped into a random tileset and tasked with surviving waves of enemies while earning various buffs along the way. Each run ends with a boss fight you’ve encountered previously. Depending on the version of Boss Rush you’re playing (there are three types), you’ll face a minimum of three bosses before the run concludes. The experience you earn is based on your progress, but the real advantage lies elsewhere. Boss Rush spawns significantly more enemies than standard modes, making it the ideal place for quickly leveling up your Prisms through constant combat and consistent rewards.

Best stats for your Prism in Remnant 2

The best stats you should focus on should be the stats that align with your core build’s primary attributes. An explosive build wants Explosive Damage as one of its main Prism stats, for example.

Prism can only house five stats, and once all five slots are full, all Prism level-up upgrades can only be one of those five stats. This means that if you’re unlucky with RNG, there is a chance you will not receive all the stats you want.

Thankfully, feeding your Prism Fragments with the stats you desire greatly tilts the randomness factor in your favor. Before leveling up your Prism even a single time, make sure to feed it the Fragment stats you want first. This reduces how much RNG you’ll be forced to deal with.

How to get more Fragments for your Prism in Remnant 2

If you don’t have Fragments with the stats you desire, there are two ways to get more. The easiest way is to head to Ward 13 and talk to Dwell, just West of the Checkpoint Stone.

Dwell in Remnant 2

Dwell sells a variety of items, including Prisms and Fragments, for all three stat types: Offensive (Red), Defensive (Blue), and Utility (Yellow). Buying one of these color-coded Fragments will give you a random Fragment with stats associated with its typing. All Fragments cost Relic Dust, which is a very common currency found scattered around the game world.

The other way you can get Fragments is to find them whole. It is possible to loot entire Fragments from chests, enemies, and any other interactable container you find in Remnant 2.
