The upcoming patch, set to go live later today, on September 26, will be released on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. It’s also going to be released later on Steam for PC users. Let’s take a look at some of the bugs that are being targeted by the upcoming update.

Like Update 1.3 and Update 1.4, the new patch doesn’t have too many changes. That said, the changes listed on the official Discord do include fixes for some severe issues that users have reported in the recent past.

  • Fixed a number of user-reported hang/stability issues when playing MyCareer or in the City.
  • Fixed a hang that some users were reporting when loading into a MyCareer save.
  • Fixed a user-reported issue that prevented advancement during offseason in MyCareer.
  • Removed the 1.5x REP bonus that was erroneously attached to certain clothing items in MyCareer.
  • Resolved an issue in MyTeam that allowed for players to be subbed at ineligible positions.

With the first two fixes, playing MyCareer should be a lot more stable. There have been incidents where NBA 2K25 had either hung or crashed when players logged in to the City. With the latest update, that issue should no longer exist. Similarly, a few items would often give the wrong REP bonus, which has now been removed as well.

Additionally, the developers have also announced that there will be at least another patch before the start of Season 2, and it will contain more bug fixes and optimization procedures.
