This news comes after Ubisoft released a financial targets update report on Wednesday, which said that there was a “softer than expected launch for Star Wars Outlaws” (via Wario64). Assassin’s Creed Shadows has also been delayed into February 2025.

Ubisoft working on title updates for Star Wars Outlaws

In an X post, thanking the fans, Ubisoft has said it’s “hard at work creating multiple title updates, which will bring optimization, gameplay polishing and tweaks as well as quality of life changes including adjustments to combat and stealth gameplay.”

The silver lining to Star Wars Outlaws hitting Steam late is that PC gamers on that client will enjoy a more refined version of the game than its launch counterpart.

“While most of the time it’s firing on all cylinders in the immersion department, I’ve had times when enemies who are searching for me will all group up in a random building, shouting about looking for me and how important it is to do so, but for some reason not actually doing so,” said our review-in-progress. “I’m talking 5+ enemies all standing inside the same building just standing around shouting about how I’m done for when they find me.”
