How to wish the Bus Driver a Happy Birthday in Fortnite

It's all about sharing birthday wishes and love here.

Fortnite’s seventh birthday party celebrations are about spreading joy by eating cake, opening presents, and wishing our good old pal, the bus driver a happy birthday. While giving the bus driver birthday wishes may sound complicated, it’s a surprisingly simple mechanic you can use even when you first play the game.

How to give Birthday wishes to the Bus Driver in Fortnite

Wishing the bus driver a happy birthday in Fortnite is the same as saying thank you at the beginning of the match. If you’re using a mouse and keyboard, you have to press B while inside the Battle Bus to say Happy Birthday. Otherwise, press down on the D-pad if you’re using a controller or the emote button in the corner of your screen if you’re on mobile.

In the case of this event, you’ll have to do this seven times. You can only say happy birthday once at the beginning of a match, so be prepared to play at least seven Fortnite games to complete this objective. You don’t have to do them all in one day, but you only have until October 1 to finish every event task.

Normally, thanking the bus driver doesn’t do anything other than give you some EXP and progress toward milestone quests. However, wishing them a happy birthday during Fortnite’s birthday event gives you progress toward the event’s bonus goals. Completing five of the six quests rewards you with the Sprinkly Space Cake back bling, Cake Clobberer pickaxe, and Birthday Bud emote, making them worthwhile to finish if you like using new cosmetics.
