Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has begun with Season Zero but Unbroken Studios and the roadmap have a lot more planned for the rest of 2024.
The 2024 roadmap for Quidditch Champions looks promising. It will bring a slew of themed events for Halloween and Holidays as well as a brand-new Season later down the line. The devs are also planning for a new multiplayer game mode, involving more than three players in each team as well as a Nintendo Switch port.
Quidditch Champions Fall 2024 roadmap
Season 0: Quidditch Try Outs
The game kicked off at launch with Season 0 or Quidditch Try Outs and it’s just the tip of the iceberg. During this time, you can complete the tracker and 50 rewards in total which include common currency such as Gold, Moonstones, and Winged Keys as well as a popular character Ron Weasley.
September: Hogwarts Legacy Themed Event
Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most popular games released by Warner Bros. in 2023. A well-known character from the game, Sebastian Sallow, is already present in Quidditch Champions as a cosmetic, so it makes more sense why WB would like to host a Hogwarts Legacy-themed event.
At the time of writing, there’s no further info about how the event will turn out to be or what content will be coming over in September.
October: Halloween Event
In October, a Halloween event will be taking over, bringing in all the spookiness with hanging pumpkins, werewolves, Dementors (perhaps), ghosts, and more.
I am guessing Dementors will show up in the Halloween event because Harry was attacked by them in a Quidditch match in Prisoner of Azkaban. Since the game is about the sport itself, the devs could very well surprise us with this easter egg. The Fall 2024 roadmap ends with this event and time for Winter to take over.
Quidditch Champions Winter 2024 roadmap
Season 1: Defense Against the Dark Arts
As soon as Quidditch Try Outs ends, Season 1 or Defense Against the Dark Arts will take over. This will be the first season of the game, so there will be plenty of new content to explore in the game. It’s unclear whether the seasonal track will have 50 tiers or more. The exact date of the season is yet to be revealed by Unbroken Studios though.
Holidays at Hogwarts Event
While the exact dates are yet to be revealed, it’s clear the Holidays event will take place in December. Holidays have always been a special time in the Harry Potter movies with all the festivities and memories, and bring good vibes in general.
Yule Ball Event
Yule Ball will be the final event for 2024 and it’s also set to take place in winter.
Nintendo Switch Port and 6v6 PvP mode
WB is planning to release the Nintendo Switch version of Quidditch Champions along with a 6v6 PvP mode in 2024. The devs are yet to reveal the exact dates for these two updates.
The game already has great cross-play and cross-progression support, so for fans who are looking to play it on their Nintendo Switch, you won’t have to wait long.
