You can look forward to the following modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6:

ModesHow to Play
Team DeathmatchThe crowd-favorite Team Deathmatch is one of the more straightforward challenges, where you must eliminate enemy Operators for more points.
Kill OrderKill Order is a brand-new 6v6 respawn mode introduced in Black Ops 6. Each team includes a High Value Target (HVT), a randomly selected player that must be eliminated for bonus scores. You must also guard your own HVT, as the other side will be gunning for them.
Face OffSimilar to Team Deathmatch, but Scorestreaks are disabled. Set in smaller-sized maps.
DominationCapture, hold, and defend objectives to increase your scores.
HardpointCapture and hold the Hardpoint zone for as long as possible.
Search and DestroyDetonate or defuse bombs. Teams alternate with the restriction of no respawns.
ControlTake turns attacking and defending zones.
HeadquartersCapture the Headquarters and defend it. The team that holds the HQ won’t be able to respawn.
Kill ConfirmedCollect dog tags from downed players to either earn points for your team or deny kills for the enemy.
Free-For-AllBattle Royale-like game mode where you must be the top scorer.
InfectedInfect enemies or survive through the match to win.
GunfightUse a pre-determined weapon class to win the rounds. Respawns are disabled.

While most of these modes have already been a part of Call of Duty, you can experience a new challenge with Kill Order. Teamwork makes the dream work here, where you can farm a ton of XP with HVT eliminations.

BO6 Operator

Kill Order also features a Face Off variant, turning off Scorestreaks altogether. This particular variation dives into the fast-paced Strike maps, another new addition of Black Ops 6. The 2v2 Gunfight mode should also be arriving sometime soon. This challenge ups the ante through its single-life restriction, making every second count. It’s one of the more balanced modes, as each Operator spawns in with the same exact loadout.

For even more challenges, check out Hardcore versions of these modes. Currently, the following games include this feature:

  • HC Team Deathmatch
  • HC Kill Order
  • HC Domination
  • HC Hardpoint
  • HC Search and Destroy
  • HC Kill Confirmed
  • HC Free-For-All
  • Hardcore Face Off Moshpit
  • Hardcore Nuketown 24/7

Changing these modes to Hardcore places various restrictions on Operators. In particular, the HUD will be limited, and you’ll spawn in with low health. Even more so, friendly fire is enabled, so you’ll need to be mindful of your teammates.

All Black Ops 6 maps

Black Ops 6’s maps are split into Core and Strike categories. Core locations encompass Call of Duty’s standardized 6v6 maps, which typically range from small to medium sizes. Many players have indicated that Babylon could be perceived as the new Shipment map, where you’ll need to always be on your toes.
