Last time we posted about Pokemon Park Wii: Pikachu’s Great Adventure, there was some confusion about if the game would come to retail or a be WiiWare title. If it was a WiiWare title, then the game’s 1st gen-Gamecube quality graphics would be understandable. If it was was a retail game, then yeah, it should probably look better different. Though it’s sometimes easy to forget, the Wii is technically more powerful than the Gamecube, and Pokemon is one of Nintendo’s most important and successful franchises. The last Pokemon game on the Wii didn’t look amazing, but it definitely seemed more visually polished than Pokemon Park Wii: Pikachu’s Great Adventure.

If the game is fun, then yeah, I’ll buy it. Portions of No More Heroes looked no better than Shenmue did on the Dreamcast, but that didn’t stop NMH from becoming one of my favorite games ever made. Still, one has to wonder why Nintendo treats their console Pokemon games like red-headed stepchildren .
