Core Keeper 1.0 release date and features

Core Keeper 1.0 will be released on Aug. 27, 2024. This date also marks the game’s official console debut, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. According to the Nintendo page, the title will also launch on the Switch on Sept. 17, 2024.

The Core Keeper 1.0 content reveal trailer confirms a new and customizable world generation feature, allowing you to explore your favorite biomes. Plus, you can try out the two new combat styles: Warlock and Mage. Explore a unique magic system that requires the power of mana and unlock additional skills for character builds. You’ll also uncover a new talent tree for Magic and Summoning, which helps with attack damage and mana regeneration.

The developer, Pugstorm, has given us the deets on Core Keeper’s co-op and cross-platform availability. While online multiplayer continues to be worked upon, there are no plans for local co-op or cross-platform support. On the other hand, multiplayer will be revamped for PC crossplay as the team looks into the new PlayFab Party.

If you’ve played Core Keeper in Early Access, Pugstorm recommends starting a new world to make the 1.0 experience run smoothly. Any old worlds will be renamed as “Classic,” indicating that it is an unsupported version for the full release. You can still access these builds afterward, but they won’t include 1.0 content.
