Lost in Random: The Eternal Die set to shake things up with a touch of roguelite in 2025

Now with even more random.

Thunderful has revealed that a sequel to Zoink’s 2021 action-adventure Lost in Random is in the works. Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is coming to Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2025.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die continues the story of the previous game by casting you as the (former) Queen of Random. She and her companion, Fortune, have been trapped in the eponymous Eternal Die and must fight their way out.

The gameplay is being mixed into a more roguelite experience, making it live up to the “random” in its name even more. The Eternal Die is a labyrinth that remixes itself and contains rooms themed around classic board games.

Personally, I didn’t play the original Lost in Random and I keep getting it confused with Lost in Vivo, a game by Kira, the developer who went on to create Lunacid. However, former Destructoid Editor-in-Chief Jordan Devore covered it for the site and seemed to really enjoy it. He said that while it had limitations that seemed based on budget size, he never felt bored and enjoyed it throughout. Hopefully, the same praise will apply to The Eternal Die.
