How to complete the Lovepurr Chronicles quest in Cat Quest 3 – All book locations

The Lovepurr Chronicles is a set of books you can track down as a quest in Cat Quest 3. You’ll need to comb the globe for the alarmingly pink tomes and bring them together to help heal a broken heart.

There are three Lovepurr Chronicles books to track down in Cat Quest 3. The clue to find them is a trail of book pages leading you to a cave. Clear the cave and the book is yours.

Lovepurr Chronicles: Book One location

The first book in the Lovepurr Chronicles series is found on the main island of Purvanna, near where you start the game. Look for a trail of pages in the water in The Straits, a strip of sea between Purvanna and the Straits Islands.

The trail leads you to the Furrlorn Cave. While using your cute floaty, navigate the water while avoiding the spikey obstacles. Reach the end of the path and claim the book.

Lovepurr Chronicles: Book Two location

Lovepurr Chronicles: Book Two is to the east in a cave in the Lovepurr Islands. Keep the island’s location in your notes, as you’ll have to return here to finish the quest.

To the north of Castle Lovepurr is a river of water leading to a cave. Enter the cave and once again clear the lazy river of doom to claim the second book.

Lovepurr Chronicles: Book Three location

Lovepurr Chronicles: Book Three is far to the west in a cave located in the Twilight Isles. This is a level 30 area, so I’d advise not heading there until you’re ready.

Look for Heartpurreak Cave (what a tortured pun) on the easternmost island. Once again, a trail of pages leads you to your quarry.

Inside, you are attacked by two level-30 boss monsters, The Heartpurroken. These spikey beasts are invulnerable to your attacks, but not the spike traps moving around the cave. Run circles around the cave while the monsters follow and lead them into the traps for massive damage.

Once the bosses are dead, a door opens for you to claim the final book.

Lovepurr Chronicles: How to solve the Lovepurr Castle puzzle

With all three books in your inventory, return to Lovepurr Castle in the Lovepurr Islands to the east of Purvanna. If you haven’t already, speak with the kindly, rose-tinted spirit of Clawford, who asks for your help in rewriting his tragic history with his lady love and breaking the curse that holds him.

To do so, you’ll need to “enter” each of the three books and complete a choose-your-own-adventure puzzle, guiding the story to a happier conclusion.

Lovepurr Chronicles: Chapter I solution

To complete the first chapter, choose these options:

• Approach the cat
• “I-I-I’ve got ye back, miss cat!”
• (defeat the enemies)
• “You’re ameowzing~!”

Completing Chapter 1 earns you Clawford’s Hat.

Lovepurr Chronicles: Chapter II solution

To complete chapter two, pick:

• Devise a plan
• Sneak their way to the raiders’ captain
• “W-who are ye…?”
• “S-s-snoutford…? But I thought ye were dead…”
• “No! Meeting Purrscilla has changed me for the better! I will protect her!”

Chapter two finishes with you earning Clawford’s Vest.

Lovepurr Chronicles: Chapter III solution

The third and final chapter of the Lovepurr Chronicles can be completed with these options:

• Grab Purrscilla and escape
• *Squeak* “M-My love, I’m just glad you’re safe!”
• “I-I’ve always regretted what happened that night…”
• *Squeak* “W-what ye doing?! Yer my only family left too!”

You’ll get a copy of Clawford’s Hat once the final chapter is complete.

Thanks to you, the books now end on a high note. But it’s not what actually happened. The other part of Clawford is a wrathful pirate ghost, whom you must now defeat.

Beating Clawford rewards you with the Heartbreaker shield weapon. It’ll hurt you with every successful block, so maybe you should keep it in your inventory for now.

Go back to the lobby and speak with the smaller, kinder Clawford. He’ll thank you for breaking the curse, offering you the Heartmender shield weapon as a reward. Blocking with the Heartmender heals you and your allies. It’s a better option, especially for co-op players.

Clawford is a bounty target, so be sure to return to the Milky Barrel tavern in Pawt Purvanna to claim your reward.
