Best Qingyi build in Zenless Zone Zero – Best Drive Discs, W-Engines, and teams

She's like Anby, but better.

Thanks to her ability to deal significant damage while also applying overwhelming amounts of daze by mixing her enhanced basic attacks and Moonlit Begonia EX Special in 50+ hit combos, it is not a surprise that Qingyi arrived to claim the spot of the best Electric stun agent in Zenless Zone Zero.

But just like a good cup of tea needs to be perfectly balanced, she needs a very specific build to bring forward her true skills. Here’s the best Qingyi build in Zenless Zone Zero, as well as a few teams sure to allow her to excel.

Best W-Engine for Qingyi in Zenless Zone Zero

Like with all S-Rankers in the game, the best W-Engine for Qingyi in Zenless Zone Zero is her signature Ice-Jade Teapot. Fine-tuned by her, the engine will offer both 18% Impact and 713 Attack at level 60, all while also allowing her to get another huge boost in Impact and a team-wide buff by acquiring Tea-riffic stacks.

To be more specific, while equipped with her signature S-Ranker, Qingyi will be able to gain one Tea-riffic stack per basic attack hit scored (to a maximum of 30), with each of them boosting her Impact by 0,7%. Once 15 stacks are acquired, the engine will then provide the party with a 15% all-DMG boost for 10 seconds. Each stack will last for 8 seconds and be counted separately. All values above are related to the engine at one star.

If you don’t have her signature, The Restrained will be my main pick for Qingyi. Offering an overall Impact value on par with our main pick, Lycaon’s signature will allow her to get a 6% Basic Attack Impact boost after performing each of her skills (up to five stacks or a 30% increase). Using Koleda’s Hellfire Gears can also work great, as it will offer the same Impact value as the above at level 60, all while allowing you to further the boost stat through an up to 20% buff.

Best A-Rank F2P W-Engine for Qingyi

The best A-Rank and F2P W-Engine for Qingyi in ZZZ is Anby’s Demara Battery Mark II. Apart from its 15% Impact increase at level 60, the engine earns the spot by providing her with a permanent 15% Electric DMG buff and the ability to gain an eight-second long 18% Energy Regeneration Rate boost after performing either a Dodge Counter or an Assist Attack. All values above are related to the engine at one star.

Best Drive Discs for Qingyi

The best Drive Disc composition for Qingyi is a mix of a 4-piece Shockstar Disco and a 2-piece Woodpecker Electro. While using a full Shockstar Disco set is a must given its 6% Impact boost and ability to increase the daze of her Basic/Dash Attacks and Dodge Counters by 20%, the 2-piece Woodpecker Electro will offer a much-needed 8% boost in Crit Rate.

So you can boost Qingyi’s damage and ability to apply daze, I recommend that you go with CRIT Rate for your fourth Drive Disc, Electric DMG Bonus for your fifth, and Impact for the sixth one. Don’t worry about ATK here, as you will be able to get a fair amount of it through her Additional Ability. For substats, prioritize CRIT Rate and DMG. Keep in mind that you must reach 50 and 100% on the stats respectively if you want to maximize her damage, so make that a priority.

Best Qingyi teams in Zenless Zone Zero

True to the former two’s close relationship, the best Qingyi team in Zenless Zone Zero will feature her as its stun-focused sub-DPS, Zhu Yuan as its main DPS, and Nicole as its main offensive support. When in the field, this team —which is also the premier one for Zhu Yuan— will have in Qingyi a secured source of massive Daze and a guarantee that you will be able to keep your momentum going while Zhu Yuan is on standby.

As her Additional Ability becomes available by simply having an attack agent on your party, Qingyi can also work as a joker pick for all of the game’s best teams. Her kit’s ability to stand on its own also makes her a great upgrade from Mindscape 1 to 5 Anby in all teams featuring attackers. You can check out a quick overview of the best teams for Qingyi below, including her most F2P-friendly one.

  • Zhu Yuan + Qingyi + Nicole (Best overall team/Ether-focused).
  • Ellen Joe + Qingyi + Soukaku (Qingyi will work as a fill-in for Lycaon in this team).
  • Anton + Qingyi + Grace (One of the best all-electric teams in the game. Qingyi fits it well by increasing its overall electric-buildup rate while also delivering massive amounts of Daze).
  • Billy Kid/Nekomata/Corin + Qingyi + Piper (F2P friendly. When in this team, Qingyi will shine by offering great amounts of Daze and Electric DMG, which will both help your overall DMG and open the doors for Distortion).
