After quite a bit of waiting, a Call of Duty title is finally making its way to the Xbox subscription service. The series’ most recent entry, Modern Warfare 3, is set to release on Game Pass on July 24, 2024.
Console, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Ultimate users can access the hit title, including its campaign storyline and MW3 Zombies mode. You’ll see the return of the elite Task Force 141 as they go on a mission to take down the notorious Vladimir Makarov.
It’s a great time to get into Modern Warfare 3 if you haven’t already. MW3 and Warzone Season 5 will launch the same day as the Game Pass debut, featuring WWE Operators, events, and new maps. The release of Black Ops 6 is also on the horizon, and some rumors have suggested that this title will be the next up for the Game Pass.
With this GP launch, I wouldn’t be surprised to see other Call of Duty entries make it to the Xbox service later on. There’s certainly more than enough content to put on there, from the original Modern Warfare to the fan-favorite Black Ops 3. Plus, Call of Duty isn’t the only Activision title to get a Game Pass integration, given that Blizzard’s Diablo IV arrived on the service in March 2024. We should see more Activision titles coming to GP, both from past iterations and possible new releases.
However, Xbox Game Pass users will see an increase in subscription prices starting on Sept. 12. As reported by The Verge, Ultimate prices will go from $16.99 to $19.99, while PC Game Pass will change from $9.99 to $11.99. Since we’re reaching August, you’ll still have over a month to see these alterations happen.
As long as you have an active Xbox subscription, you can download Modern Warfare 3 on July 24. Additional seasons typically arrive each month, so get ready for some new ventures in the near future.
