How to get the Tamer in The First Descendant

One of the best General Rounds weapons.

The Tamer has become a rather exceptional machine gun in The First Descendant. It’s not quite one that you can just craft with Anais. It’s a rare/purple weapon that can be found by farming a specific mission in the game.

How to get the Tamer in The First Descendant

If you’re looking at how you can get your hands on the Tamer in The First Descendant, you’ll have to progress far enough into the base game’s story until you get to the Agna Desert

The Agna Desert is an area where enemies will appear at level 44 and higher, so make sure you’re leveled enough to fight the enemies here. Don’t worry if your Descendant isn’t up to snuff; it’s more about your weaponry and damage output.

The first area you unlock in the Agna Desert will be the Vermillion Waste. Clear this and you should then unlock The Remnant. Here, you’ll come across the Abandoned Reconstruction Site Battlefield Mission. Clear it and you’ll have a chance of getting the Tamer as a drop.

It has a 50% chance of dropping, so your chances are pretty high. However, farming for the perfect roll or current level you’re at is way different.

Best roll for the Tamer in The First Descendant

Once you get the Tamer, you ideally want it to have the following stats:

  • Elemental ATK
  • Firearm Critical Hit Rate
  • Firearm ATK
  • Firearm Critical Hit Damage

This will hugely increase the overall DPS of the weapon. The elemental damage is the only variable aspect here. Whether you want it to be Chill, Electric, Toxic, or Fire, that will be up to you.

It will take a lot of time to get the right roll, but you can also use Weapon Readjustment to get these rolls. Just know that you will need to spend Gold and use Adjustment Control Axises to get this done.

It’s also best to only get this roll when you’re at or close to level 100 to get higher-rolled stats, so keep that in mind before you start investing heavily into this weapon.
