Where to find ballistic fiber in Fallout 76

Like many of the Seasonal Challenges that ask players to scrap items for a particular material, Ballistic Fiber can be quite tedious to obtain.

Whether you’re trying to max out your Seasonal Pass level or need Ballistic Fiber to upgrade and maintain your armor, you’ll want to know the best items to look out for in Fallout 76 and where to find them.

Items that scrap into ballistic fiber in Fallout 76

• Bulk Ballistic Fiber – 10 Ballistic Fiber
• Military Ammo Bag – 2 Ballistic Fiber
• Military Grade Duct Tape – 2 Ballistic Fiber
• Mysterious Fur – 1 Ballistic Fiber
• Torn Mothman Wing – 1 Ballistic Fiber

Military Ammo Bags (MABs) are the most plentiful of the items that can be scrapped for Ballistic Fiber. Mysterious Fur and Torn Mothman Wings require fighting Sheepsquatch and Mothman enemies respectively, so farming these items isn’t as efficient.

Where to find military ammo bags in Fallout 76

Fort Defiance

Fort Defiance contains 9 MABs which scrap into 18 Ballistic Fiber. This is more than enough to complete any scrapping Seasonal Challenges for Ballistic Fiber. Due to having the highest amount of MABs, Fort Defiance takes the cake for the best Ballistic Fiber farming location. Here’s where you can find the bags around the POI:

• North wing, second floor – Both rooms next to the metal stairs (3 MABs)
• North wing, third floor
  • The third door on the right side, past the metal doors (1 MAB)
  • The third door on the left past the metal doors (1 MAB)
  • In the room across from the elevator (2 MABs)
  • First room on the right past the Brotherhood of Steel doors (2 MABs)

Camp McClintock

Camp McClintock has one less Military Ammo Bag than Fort Defiance, but it is just as easy of a location to farm Ballistic Fiber.

• After fast traveling to Camp McClintock, turn around and head down the road. 2 MABs can be found next to a soldier’s corpse.
• Ground floor of the main building
  • Behind the front desk (1 MAB)
  • In a locker across from the front desk (1 MAB)
• The left barracks – On a shelf on the back wall of the barracks (1 MAB)
• APC – inside of the APC found in front of the barracks (1 MAB)
• Southwest of the main building past the Combat Training barn in a small shack. (2 MABs)
