Apex Legends pick rates for ranks continue to be dominated by Pathfinder, Lifeline, and Octane

Seer is the least-picked Legend from the lot.

Apex Legends is packed with a lot of Legends to choose from, and with squads of three (soon to be four), there are a lot of variable playstyles to take into account. With the meta around Apex Legends changing constantly, there are always different Legends that are more suited for the battle royale match.

While it is always easy to go with the Legend you’ve liked since day one, there are often times when some Legends get significantly nerfed, like Bangalore and Bloodhound recently, making it slightly an uphill battle to compete against other Legends in Ranked games.

Apex Legends pick rates are helpful in this regard, allowing players to check which Legends are being picked the most in recent times. This gives a rough idea to players about possible combinations of squads, and which particular Legends are more suited for the fight during Ranked matches.

Here are the Apex Legends pick rates in Ranked for June 2024:

  • Pathfinder – 10%
  • Lifeline – 9.2%
  • Octane – 8.5%
  • Bloodhound – 7.3% (down by 6.58%)
  • Wraith – 7.1%
  • Bangalore – 6.9%
  • Horizon – 5.2% (up by 3.78%)
  • Revenant – 5%
  • Fuse – 4.5%
  • Conduit – 3.7%
  • Loba – 3.5%
  • Alter – 3.2%
  • Ash and Mad Maggie – 3.1%
  • Mirage – 2.8%
  • Watson – 2.1%
  • Caustic – 2%
  • Valkyrie – 1.9%
  • Gibraltar – 1.7%
  • Vantage, Crypto, and Catalyst – 1.5%
  • Ballistic and Rampart – 1.3%
  • Newcastle – 1.2%
  • Seer 0.7%

Pathfinder is at the top of the Apex Legends pick rate currently (via Apex Legends Status), followed closely by Lifeline, and it is surprising to find Octane up there in the top 3. However, the recent addition of level upgrades is perhaps why Octane has become favourable since the upgrades can bring down the stim damage he receives by using his tactical can be reduced by 10 HP, making it a much safer choice for players to continue using his tactical to evade and ambush without taking in too much damage at the start.

Bloodhound’s pick rate has dropped significantly, and after the changes coming with the Double Take Collection Event, one can expect it to decline further alongside Bangalore. Regardless of what balance changes have arrived since the start of Apex Legends, Wraith has continued to be one of the top picks, especially in Ranked matches.

There was a time when the likes of Watson, Caustic, Gibraltar and Rampart, were much higher on the pick rate chart when placement points were more favourable. After the Ranked system has brought back incentives for picking fights and finishing them, these control Legends have fallen off the pecking order.

However, the most interesting of all, is that Seer is the least-picked Legend in Ranked, which no one could have predicted when the Legend was introduced back in 2021. When Seer arrived, the Legend was a menace and miles above the rest in terms of what Seer could do with his abilities. Well, it only took two years of constant nerfs for Seer to get where we are, with less than one per cent of Apex Legends still picking Seer over the rest of the pack.
