Should you pull Jinshi or Changli in Wuthering Waves 1.1?

5* Spectro vs 5* Fusion

In Wuthering Waves version 1.1, players will have the option to pull for Jinshi and/or Changli, both characters that have significance in the storyline. If you’re a low-spender or free-to-play, then you may be wondering who exactly should you pull.

Jinshi vs Changli – Who should you pull in Wuthering Waves 1.1?

There are a couple of different factors involved that may influence your decision to pull Jinshi or Changli. Personally, I’d recommend pulling Jinshi over Changli because she is our first and only 5* Spectro main DPS character. From a teambuilding standpoint, you’ll want to have a 5* for every single element, and a team to support it. Jinshi fits the bill as she is a Spectro main DPS and she already has some decent support with the likes of Taoqi, Spectro Rover, and Verina. I value team diversity, which is why Jinshi is my recommendation.

Changli is a 5* Fusion main/support DPS. She is undoubtedly really strong, but the issue with choosing her to pull over Jinshi is that we already have a strong 5* Fusion DPS through Encore. While it is true that Changli can act as a sub-DPS for Encore, I put much more value in having more usable teams, rather than just buffing up one. That isn’t the say Changli is a bad pull by any stretch. It’s just that I’d recommend waiting for her to return in a future re-run banner. If you’re new to gacha games, characters always return. It’s only a matter of time.

Another reason I recommend Jinshi over Changli is that Jinshi comes out first. The reality is that I’m itching to pull a new character because I’m a big fan of learning new character kits. Jinshi’s kit is rather complex with a lot of moving parts and a lot she can do. This isn’t even counting the techniques that the Wuthering Waves dedicated community will come up with. Jinshi is also looking to be extremely strong stat-wise and her Sequences appear the same way. Finally, Jinshi is heavily reliant on Skill Damage which is an archetype of character we really didn’t have in Wuthering Waves, until now. These are my main reasons for choosing Jinshi over Changli.

All that said, if you’d still prefer to pull Changli, know that your choice is not a bad one if you simply like Changli’s gameplay or design over Jinshi. As I mentioned earlier, all 5* characters will eventually return, so you can choose to pull Changli over Jinshi, and grab Jinshi later during her re-run. Changli also has an Outro Skill that buffs Ultimate damage, so she will be able to slot into most teams, similarly to Yinlin.

Either way, you can’t go wrong with either character, though Jinshi remains my recommendation to you.
