More Madden NFL 10 DLC is coming. This morning Electronic Arts announced the “AFL Legacy Pack,” a piece of content that adds vintage AFL-style “presentation elements” to the core game. On top of the pretty visual filter as shown in the header, the DLC gives teams and referees 1960s apparel, and even soils the interface bit with grain, muddied colors and an old-school John Madden picture.
The DLC also adds AFL-specific Madden Moments.
If you’re confused — I know, SPORTS, right? — know this: the AFL was, at one point, a league of its own. It merged with the current NFL in 1969, but the deal wasn’t finalized until 1970. The teams that joined the NFL as a result of the merger are represented in this DLC with the aforementioned vintage uniforms.
The AFL Legacy Pack hits Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PSN on September 24th. EA is planning to charge 560 Microsoft Points/$6.99 respectively. A video is available, too. Just click that header thing.
