It looks like Konami decided to listen to me when I said “eewwwww” to the original logo for Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. The publisher has unveiled the game’s new logo, which maintains the icy-look of the initial logo, but looks a bit grittier, and fits a bit better with other logos in the series.
The new screens, on the other hand, aren’t doing much to help things for this Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable title. I’m not sure who chooses and approves these things, but including a screen of two generic looking white people just standing there isn’t really throwing off that “survival horror” vibe they should be going for. Creepy looking wrapped-in-bacon monster in an alley? Totally. A George Bush lookalike and the head of the Silent Hill Middle School PTA? Not so much.
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is set to ship this fall, and by all accounts, looks like it might be a good time. Just try to release some more convincing screenshots, Konami.
