How to find Unwarranted Feather in Wuthering Waves

A mysterious feather for your most powerful characters.

Grinding for ascension and upgrade materials in Wuthering Waves can be challenging, especially if you’re looking to improve multiple characters at once. Every boss has different drops, with some materials coming from one specific creature. Some, like Unwarranted Feather, have completely unknown origins.

Can you find Unwarranted Feather in Wuthering Waves?

Currently, no “Unwarranted Feather” items are available in Wuthering Waves. There are two possibilities for this: it’s an unavailable item that’ll appear in Wuthering Wave’s 1.1 update alongside Yinlin, or it’s a mistranslation of the Dreamless Feather from the Statue of the Crownless: Heart boss.

Since Unwarranted Feather is an upgrade material for Yinlin, a character that wasn’t available during Wuthering Waves’ initial launch, it’d make sense for this resource to appear later to pair with her. In this case, any bosses that release in the 1.1 update with Yinlin would likely drop the Unwarranted Feather.

It’s also possible this is a typo for the Dreamless Feather, a material found by defeating the Statue of the Crownless: Heart boss. You’ll first unlock this boss after beating Chapter One, Act Six’s storyline, with it becoming a weekly challenge fight you can tackle three times a week. Currently, the Dreamless Feather is an upgrade material for Danjin, and it’s possible that’ll also be the case for Yinlin and her Unwarranted Feather requirement.

However, until Yinlin releases in Wuthering Waves with her complete kit and ascension materials available to see, we won’t know for certain which is the case. If this is a mistranslation of the Dreamless Feather, farming the Dreamless boss will help you get a head start toward upgrading Yinlin. Otherwise, you may have to wait until future bosses appear, as there’s a chance the item will appear as an exclusive drop from a new weekly enemy.
