Critical Countdown is Season 4’s first event, taking place across MW3 multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies. As always, players have a series of challenges to complete to unlock cosmetic items, with the top prize coming as the World Ender blueprint.

Each challenge requires you to collect DNA Samples, so they will prove to be a critical part of this season. If you fancy unlocking all the rewards, here’s how to get them.

How to collect DNA Samples

Collecting DNA Samples is easy as enemies and friendlies both drop them when killed. Your teammates will drop the Ade sample, while opponents drop the Cyto sample. This is important as these samples unlock different rewards.

There are two more DNA Samples yet to unlock too, which are linked to different Mastery Challenges, all of which need to be completed before you unlock the World Ender blueprint.

If you’re looking to grab them as quickly as possible, I would suggest playing Small Map Moshpit, as you’ll find yourself in plenty of gunfights, and the maps aren’t too big either. This means you’ll be able to collect plenty of samples just while playing normally, and it won’t affect how you play too much.

Don’t worry though, as you’ve got until June 26 to complete this challenge, so don’t panic if you can’t get to it this weekend. Just make sure you do it before the timer runs out.
