The good news is that we’re just days away from the Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3 update, which is currently scheduled to launch on Friday, May 24, 2024.

The game will go into downtime at around 4 am ET / 1 am PT / 9 am BST and will remain offline for around five hours. During this time, Epic will be adding all the new content to the game, and making sure the game is stable enough for you to enjoy. Fortnite should come back online at around 9 am ET / 6 am PT / 2 pm BST, and we’ve set the countdown timer below to that time.

Should the update get pushed back due to glitches, issues, or any unforeseen circumstance, we’ll update this article accordingly.

What to expect in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3

Unfortunately, we don’t know a lot about what’s confirmed for the new Fortnite season just yet, but we do know for sure that a special Fallout crossover is coming, perfectly timed following the success of the Amazon Prime TV show.

We also expect that a new Battle Bus will be added this week, as the old one got smashed to smithereens by a real-life monster truck this past weekend, and Fall Guys assets should finally arrive here too.

As for leaks, there have been rumors of Klombo, the Fortnite mascot, coming to the game’s LEGO mode, and claims of both Pirates of the Caribbean and Fantastic Four crossovers. Those are unconfirmed though, so take them with a pinch of salt.
