Destiny 2 players, myself included, are eager to get their hands on the now-craftable Exotic pulse rifle, Outbreak Perfected. While completing the Zero Hour mission on Normal is enough to receive the weapon, it’s not enough to unlock the craftable perks. Those come from weekly missions where Guardians must hunt down switches. Here is the first set of switches for Outbreak Refined I.
Where are the switches in Outbreak Refined I?
After going through the Covert Passage into the open space with the ship, there will be a series of vents on your right. Proceed to the row furthest away from you and turn around to face the way you came. You’ll see an opening in the left corner where you can jump down.
Follow the path until you jump down a silo with two crossed catwalks at the bottom. There will be a pair of Fallen Captains below that need to be eliminated. In each corner of this room are switches that will open hatches in the next room. Additionally, there is a switch in the middle of a wall, above a piece of machinery. Remember this switch as you’ll need to press it shortly.
Kitty corner from that switch will be a passage lined with red pipes on the wall. Go there and activate that switch to open Hatch 03 in the next room.
After activating the Hatch 03 switch, proceed into the next room. There will be a large gap between you and the next wall. Jump over to the sluice and up it to reach the platform on top where you’ll see the opened Hatch 03. Hop atop the lid of the hatch and use it to reach the vertical strip of platforms in the silo.
At the top of the silo will be a darkened room with a switch on the wall. This is one of two switches needed, with the other being the first switch I mentioned. You can press them in either order, but I find it’s much quicker to activate this switch first, jump down the silo, and run back to the first switch. Once activated, you’ll see “Catalyst Switch Primed” with a 30-second timer. Reach the second switch within that window to complete this step.
The remaining step for Outbreak Refined I is to complete Zero Hour on Legend. Due to the tight time limit, I recommend heading back to orbit and restarting the activity once everyone has completed this first step.
