It glistens and gleams, and it’s essential for killing things efficiently. But it might be harder than you expect to final metal in Ark Ascended: Scorched Earth. Unless you know these two hotspots, of course.
Best Metal Farming Spots in Ark Survival Ascend: Scorched Earth
Metal is one of the most important resources in Scorched Earth. To that end, finding the best, easiest farm for metal in Ark Ascended: Scorched Earth is imperative.
Fortunately, there are a handful of good spots. The first and best option is at the coordinates 24, 22.9. This spot, found on the western mountains, is absolutely rife with metal ore. There’s eight nodes at least, along with other rare materials like rare flowers that can be used to make silk, crystals, and even obsidian. But such a resource-heavy area has two drawbacks.
First, it’s difficult to reach without a flying dinosaur like a wyvern. The second is that it’s absolutely crawling with aggressive dinosaurs and creatures, like the Rock Elemental. But if you’re feeling confident in your pack and arsenal, then there’s no doubt that this is the best farming spot for metal in Ark Ascended: Scorched Earth.
But a more beginner friendly metal farm can be found at the coordinates 57.7, 80.2. To find this location, head towards the giant green obelisk on the eastern side of the map. This section has significantly less metal than our peak metal farm location, but it’s a great spot to farm if you don’t have a flying mount and don’t want to tangle with a lot of carnivores. But because it’s less dense, you should expect to wander around scouting for metal nodes. This spot also has the benefit of being the host of two oil veins, which you can find at the coordinates 59.4, 77. Just look for the graveyard of dino bones.
