The Unmoored World presents all new challenges in Dragon’s Dogma 2, bringing even more dragon battles. This area links to the entry’s post-game content and has a time limit if certain quests aren’t completed first. So, to get the full rundown, here are all the Unmoored World quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
But before we get into all the post-game quests, let’s dive into how to unlock Unmoored World in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
How to unlock Unmoored World in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To unlock Dragon’s Dogma 2 post-game content, you must participate in the true ending. It is possible to miss by choosing to start a new game, so avoid doing this. The key here is to speak to The Pathfinder when the scene with the credits starts rolling. For a complete breakdown, check out our guide on how to get the true ending in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 post-game checklist
For starters, it should be noted that the Dragon’s Dogma 2 post-game content can be time-restricted, so it’s best to follow the order of quests in the table below. It would help if you defeated each enemy at any nearby red beacons, as it could slow down the deadly red fog. I recommend completing the first four quests below (along with their respective red beacons) since the mist can negatively impact these areas.
Once those quests are out of the way, the red fog isn’t as pressing, and it’s a good time to rest up at an inn. However, don’t go overboard with rests, given that timing is crucial. Some players indicate that going beyond three to four rests can end the post-game, so you may want to avoid it as much as possible. In addition to this, use Ferrystones as much as possible to save more time. Fortunately, Dragon’s Dogma 2’s post-game is generous in providing these for free in chests.
Quests | Locations | How to unlock and complete |
---|---|---|
Dreams Apart | Bakbattahl | Automatically available in the Unmoored World. It’s a fairly easy quest since it only involves a dialogue scene. |
A Scholarly Pursuit | Bakbattahl | After finishing Dreams Apart, a red beacon will appear shortly after. Interact with it and follow Phaseus (defeat all enemies in the path.) |
Halls of the First Dawn | Seafloor Shrine | Automatically available in the Unmoored World. Speak with Rothais at the blue beam and lead the evacuation effort by completing the quests below. |
Shepherd of the Pawns | Excavation Site | Defeat the golem near the gates and follow Henrique. Use the Overseer’s Lodge Key to obtain the Diminished Godsway. |
The Regentkin’s Resolve | Vermund | Speak to Brant at the Stardrop Inn and Sven in Vernworth Castle. Achieve Sven’s objectives by convincing his mother and helping with the Oxcarts. |
The Importance of Aiding Ernesto | Volcanic Island Camp | Ernesto will talk to you at the entrance of the Volcanic Island Camp. Escort the married couple back to the camp. |
Civil Unrest | Bakbattahl | Talk to Menella at Flamebearer Palace Road and settle the civil disputes. |
When Wills Collide | Excavation Site | Complete all the quests above and go to the Talos waypoint (it will be marked on the map.) It’ll be the same place where you took down in The Guardian Gigantus, unlocking a cutscene. |
Since some of these missions can be tricky to achieve, check out our full guide on completing the Halls of the First Dawn. In return, the When Wills Collide storyline will be unlocked. But if you aren’t sure how to start this final quest, look for the Talos waypoint near the Excavation Site. The location varies depending on where you took down Guardian Gigantus:
When Wills Collide doesn’t require fighting; it only involves waiting for a cutscene to play. To complete it, go to a waypoint on the map. Plus, the mission rewards the player with the I, Talos and The Hero achievements.
How to find Bay Wayside Shrine
The Bay Wayside Shrine offers plenty of rare and powerful gear that can benefit Dragon’s Dogma 2 post-game content. It’ll be stationed at the Unmoored World’s initial spawn point.
Go inside the cave and talk to the merchant, who only accepts Wrymslife Crystals as currency. You can quickly obtain them by defeating the monsters at the red beacon.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Red Beacon locations
The red beacons trigger challenging fights with various dragons. It’s essential to eliminate these foes to help slow down the threat of the red fog. Here are the known locations of Dragon’s Dogma 2’s red beacons:
- Bakbattahl (A Scholarly Pursuit)
- Sacred Arbor
- Vernworth
- Volcanic Island Camp
- Seafloor Shrine
The Seafloor Shrine red beacon only unlocks after completing When Wills Collide in Dragon’s Dogma 2:
It works the same as other red beacons but doesn’t involve any fighting whatsoever to open. Interact with it to get a unique cutscene, thus completing the game.
