How to increase weight capacity in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Don't let the weight get you down.

Weight capacities are among the most infuriating aspects of gaming, even if they do add a sense of realism. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is no different, where high volumes of storage could leave your character crawling on the ground. So, to get you back on your feet, here’s how to increase weight capacity in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Players can take a load off in Dragon’s Dogma 2 using the Golden Trove Beetle. These bugs will spawn on trees and other areas, so pick them off for consumption. Open the Items section and select ‘Use’ on it to increase your weight capacity by 0.15 kg.

While the enhancement doesn’t seem like much, it all adds up to maximize your inventory. Alternative methods are also available to decrease the weight of the pack. Pawns are excellent for this, as you can transfer items to them to lighten the load. Split the pot amongst the three other party members to save more room. Nevertheless, don’t forget about their capacity so they aren’t impacted by the weight.Ā

If you don’t see a use for an item, sell it for gold at a nearby shop or deposit it at an Inn’s chest for later use. Quests like A Place to Call Home also offer more home bases, which can be used to store resources.

I recommend keeping your character’s pack as light as possible, considering it can affect their movement speed. Stamina will decrease much faster, too, making battles more challenging. Just ensure that you have all the essentials on hand, like proper gear and potions, and then let the Pawns take care of the rest.
