The community-based Major Order quests offer challenging adventures across Super Earth for the chance to earn some much-needed rewards. Unfortunately, not everything runs smoothly with these missions, as many players have experienced issues in their progression. There’s been a lot of confusion surrounding the Major Order quests, causing many to think these objectives are bugged (and I’m not just talking about the ones on the planets.) However, since MO missions are community-based, they must be achieved globally rather than individually. That means your team and other players must contribute to the corresponding planets bit by bit until each location has been liberated.

Hover over the planet to check the progress of the current Major Order. For example, the Activate the Terminid Control System quest conveys a TCS Installation Progress bar on Erata Prime, Fenrir III, Meridia, and Turing. Once those have been liberated, the Major Order will be completed.

A previous quest requiring eight Defend Campaigns’ completion also stirred up some confusion, as many players attempted to achieve it while the Major Order did not update. This is where the community-based requirements come into play again, considering that it actually means finishing eight planets with Defend Campaigns.

Helldivers 2’s Major Orders change over time, and these tasks will, of course, shift along with it. So, remember that they must be completed globally instead of the standard individual objectives. Also, ensure you claim the mission rewards, which will be sent to your account.
