How to make Arendellian Pickled Herring in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Just don't smell it...

While trying to convince Elsa to join your community of characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll have to do a few things to help her feel at home. One of these things involves cooking a questionable recipe — Arendellian Pickled Herring.

Along with a Fish Pie, you’ll need to prepare this 5-star ‘delicacy’ to complete Elsa’s level 3 friendship quest, “What Home Feels Like.” It’s also one of Elsa’s common preferred gifts.

Outside of this, you can still make the dish and it will give you a decent 2,092 energy if eaten, while it sells for 532 Star Coins, so you can make a decent profit if you already have the ingredients to hand.

Arendellian Pickled Herring requires five ingredients that are all relatively easy to collect. You’ll need to utilise Fishing, Foraging and Gardening in order to procure the following items:

  • 1 Lemon
    • Foraged from Lemon trees, which grow in the Forest of Valor and the Glade of Trust.
  • 1 Onion
    • Grown from seeds which can be purchased at Goofy’s Stall in the Forest of Valor for 50 Star Coins each. They take 75 minutes to grow and require two waterings in that time.
  • 1 Herring
    • Herring can be caught on Dazzle Beach or in the Glade of Trust while fishing in white fishing spots.
  • 1 Garlic
    • Foraged from the ground in the Forest of Valor.
  • 1 Spice
    • Any foragable spice from around the Valley can be used, such as Basil, Oregano or Mint.

Once you’ve got your hands on the necessary items, head to any Cooking Station and as long as you have some coal either in your inventory or in storage, you’ll be able to cook some Arendellian Pickled Herring.
