How to emote and victory pose in Helldivers 2

Will you grind for hours to play Rock, Paper, Scissors?

It doesn’t take words to communicate with your fellow Helldivers when you’re playing Helldivers 2. A lot can be expressed non-verbally, and one of the best ways to do it is through emotes. Here’s how to use emotes in Helldivers 2.

In Helldivers 2, there are five emotes: Explosive Handshake, Hug, High-Five, Scout Handshake, and Rock Paper Scissors.

How to unlock emotes and victory poses in Helldivers 2

To unlock new emotes in Helldivers 2, you have to purchase them in the Acquisition Center by spending Warbond Medals. You acquire Warbond Medals via successfully completing missions or collecting them on the map. The casual Salute is unlocked as your default emote, but you can expand that list as you progress.

Once you’ve got yourself a good supply of Medals, head back to your ship and open the Acquisition Center. On PS5, you need to tap the square button to access Acquisitions. On PC, you enter the menu by pressing the R key.

Take note that you do have to spend Medals to unlock more Warbond pages. The more Medals you spend, the further down the list you can go.

While you can choose to randomize victory poses in Helldivers 2, you can only equip one emote at a time. Sadly, there is no emote wheel. If you decide to run with the Hug (and you very much should), you are locked to it until you change to something else in the menu.
